The newspaper clippings outling the killing and funeral of NYPD Officer Michael McConnon in January 1975 when he attempted to stop a Manhattan bank robbery. One of the robbers was an escapee from a "weekend furlough" from a prison for a previous murder conviction, and went on to murder two others and commit dozens of violent crimes throughout the United States, and the trial was a landmark-case that ended the death-penalty for the murder of a policeman.
